Joining GNHC as the Center’s Nurse Educator in September, 2007, Heidi Gilroy, RN, BSN, CPN, CCRN, received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Texas Women’s University in 2002.  Ms. Gilroy, who speaks both English and Spanish, previously worked as a charge nurse in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, providing patient care for critically ill children and their families.  As the Nurse Educator, she enjoys “helping patients learn about themselves and then seeing them begin to take control of their own health.” Ms. Gilroy is very enthusiastic about working at Good Neighbor “because you can affect so much change. You can empower people to keep themselves healthy.”
